We care about your privacy. This policy explains how ScannerDoc handles your data when you scan and manage documents on your device.

1) Key Privacy Note

All documents are saved on your iPhone only (local storage). The app does not upload or publish your documents online automatically and does not send your scans to a server.

Sharing happens only when you explicitly choose to share using iOS Share Sheet.

2) Data the App Stores

By default, the app does not collect personally identifying information. The app may store locally on your device:

Documents you create (page images / generated PDFs).
Document name, creation date, and internal organization data (on-device only).
OCR text (if you use the text recognition feature), stored on-device.

3) How We Use Data

Data is used inside the app only to:

Display and manage documents (open/rename/delete/share).
Convert documents to PDF on your device.
Improve usability (such as searching document titles).

4) Data Sharing

We do not share your documents or data with third parties. If you use Share, the selected image/PDF is sent only to the destination you choose (e.g., WhatsApp, Mail).

5) Permissions

The app may request permissions such as:

Camera to capture document images.
Photos to import images from your device.

You can manage permissions anytime in iOS Settings.

6) Deleting Documents

When you delete a document inside the app, its data stored on your device is removed.

7) Deleting an Account

If you choose Delete Account, the app will remove device-related data stored by the app (such as locally stored documents and related internal records) according to the app’s deletion flow.

Note: If the app does not require an online account, “Delete Account” refers to clearing local app data associated with this device.

8) VERY IMPORTANT WARNING

If you remove (uninstall) the app from your phone, all documents will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Please export, copy, or back up any important documents (e.g., to Files / computer / a storage service you choose) before removing the app.

9) Data Security

We apply reasonable measures to protect data within the app. Keeping your device protected (Passcode / Face ID / Touch ID) also helps protect your documents.

10) Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will be available on this page.

11) Subscriptions & Payments

ScannerDoc offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple In-App Purchases.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation.
The subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
Prices may vary by country and are shown inside the App Store purchase dialog.
